Connect Terrantic to your plant systems

Terrantic reads existing plant infrastructure without changing it. If your facility has sensors, SCADA, or MES, the data is already available.

Three plant-system layers we connect

Plant data typically comes from control systems, direct sensor feeds, and production software. Terrantic connects to all three.

Control systems

  • SCADA platforms (OPC-UA read)
  • PLC data via OPC-UA server
  • DCS systems with OPC bridge
  • Ignition-based SCADA setups

Line sensors

  • Checkweighers and weigh-in-motion sensors
  • Optical sorter outputs, API or file export
  • Conveyor speed and throughput counters
  • Temperature probes, cold room loggers

Production software

  • MES flat-file and CSV exports
  • ERP production order data (read)
  • WMS lot and SKU feeds
  • Custom database connectors on request

Read-only, edge-first, isolated from production

Here is how Terrantic connects to plant systems while keeping control with your operations and IT teams.

OPC-UA standard

Read-only OPC-UA for control systems

OPC-UA is Terrantic's primary path into SCADA and PLC systems. We subscribe in read-only mode, so no writes, commands, or configuration changes reach your control systems. Your SCADA setup stays untouched.

Your plant network stays isolated

Terrantic runs a lightweight edge collector on a plant-side server or hardened industrial PC. It reads data locally, buffers it, then sends encrypted batches to the cloud over a separate internet connection. Your operational network never connects directly to the internet.

What Terrantic reads from each system

The systems in your facility determine which data Terrantic can ingest.

Data type SCADA / PLC Direct sensors MES export
Throughput rate per line
Weight per unit by SKU
Reject rate from optical sorter
Temperature readings
Lot and SKU identifiers
Planned vs. actual targets
Shift schedule and crew IDs

A pilot can run with SCADA-only or sensor-only connections. Adding MES data provides lot-level context and improves reroute recommendation accuracy.
